Romy Schneider appears in a vertical composition, based on a black-and-white photographic portrait. Her hair falls loosely, her gaze direct and composed. Devin Miles (*1961, Duisburg) draws inspiration from the visual language of European and American cinema of the 1950s and 1960s. Screen legends meet symbols from art and cultural history in a mixed-media technique combining screen printing, painting, and digital image processing.
His works are represented in more than 80 European galleries and are part of important private collections, including the Reinhold Würth Collection.
