A black bull charges headfirst through the silver surface of the card – the material tears apart, edges bend and twist, while splashes of yellow, pink, and blue paint surge across the composition. The bull, a symbol of raw power, collides with an emblem of polished prosperity. This artwork requires no explanation: the tension between control and liberation is instantly felt.

Devin Miles (*1961, Duisburg) is regarded as one of the leading figures of contemporary Pop Art in Europe. His distinctive visual worlds are created through a unique combination of screen printing, painting, and digital image processing – a creative process that often involves up to twenty individual layers.
His works are represented in more than 80 galleries across Europe. Exhibitions have taken him to Munich, Zurich, Tel Aviv, and New York. The collection of entrepreneur Reinhold Würth is among the renowned private and institutional collections that include works by Miles.
