At the center stands Scrooge McDuck – the world’s wealthiest duck – dressed in a designer suit and surrounded by the Rolex logo, the Louis Vuitton monogram, and dollar signs. The silver surface of the American Express card forms the backdrop, enriched with vibrant paint splashes and ornamental details. Devin Miles (*1961 in Duisburg) is regarded as one of the leading figures of contemporary Pop Art in Europe. His distinctive visual language is created through a unique combination of screen printing, painting, and digital image processing – a technique that often involves up to twenty individual layers.
His artworks are represented in more than 80 galleries across Europe. Exhibitions have taken him to Munich, Zurich, Tel Aviv, and New York. The collection of entrepreneur Reinhold Würth is among the renowned institutions and private collections that include works by Miles.
